alibek 0 Posted May 6, 2007 You've done it perfect, Donald! You definitely caught a great moment, and colors plus the entire composition accomplish the overall image in a specific, green-grass way, if I can say so. It's very natural and live. Technically, the DOF* is good; WB is very nice. No trouble wit hteh composition as well... although, it is not easy to make it good on such cases. *apparently, you have a little bit of dust on your sensor. Otherwise it is something different. I was just guessing, what aperture did you use? 'Cause on macro-photography, you probably used a narrow one... and that' where all the uncovered 'sensor truth' get obvious. Well done. Very successful try. All best, Alibek Link to comment
motiveart 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Thanks for the kind comments! Alibek - it was shot with a Canon 5D and their 100mm / 2.8 Macro lens. Exposure was 1/400 second at f4.5. Yea, the dust thing... The camera is new and I haven't braved that sensor cleaning procedure yet... obviously I am going to have to jump in and give it a try, but it sure makes me nervous... Again, thanks for the kind comments and technical run down of the photo components... very much appreciated! (This was my first photo to submit for comment, so especially appreciated!) alibek 0 Posted May 6, 2007 That's cool. I wish I had such a start;) In fact, the best way to stay away from the sensor dust pollution is to use merely an air-blower - so you don't have to use all these sophisticated VisibleDust brushes... 'cause it's kinda hard and sesigned for super-fine sensor clean. I use a Giottos Rocket-Air blower on my 30D. Quite satisfied... although it's not perfect. Link to comment
