jgalyon 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Gordon, this one doesn't work for me. I'm short of time and expertise, so you might ask some of the more experienced photogs on the site to critique the technical aspects of the shot...but aesthetically speaking, it simply isn't appealing. it lacks any particular point of interest. from my perspective it seems like one of those shots that when seen first hand is interesting, but the end product, the photograph doesn't capture what you have seen. One technical point: do so work on getting the vertical line of the barn straight. As is, the barn looks as though it leans to the left... which is distracting and takes away from the overall shot. Those who regularly and skillfully shoot architectural photography would find this a glaring problem. Hope you don't seem my comments as negative...intended to be helpful! best regards, John Link to comment

jgalyon 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Holman, you're truly a better man than me to hold your temper on the kid who keeps asking if you "killed" this person, or a "duck", or whatever... Young "punks" give me real trouble. Keep shooting man...maybe we'll both get there someday! Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted May 5, 2007 DON'T SWEAT THE SPELLING...it's not necessary to spell well to become a great photographer! Link to comment

As a carpenter, I'm sure you understand looking at the lean.Upstairs is our bedroom, doing a little reading so ~ see ya! Link to comment
