Thank you, Mauro. This was an older couple (well, older than I'm used to shooting anyway), but when they got around each other, they were giddy like little kids. So in love!

Weddings are so hard and I don't think I would keep doing them if it wasn't for the satisfaction of showing the couple how happy they were on that very special day.

Rachel, This is sooo lovely. The shadows are so perfect. It really works well in BW. I like the flowers in color. What a beautiful scene. I bet they LOVE it. Leanna:O)

Actually, they'll never see it. These images were taken for an international wedding company and they just use the unedited images for their customers. I like the image SO much better this way, but we aren't supposed to contact the customers. Stupid rules. Oh, well. It's good for a portfolio!

Thanks for stopping by, Leanna!

I've received positive feedback so far on this one and I am a little

surprised because of the overexposed areas on the dress. What do you

think? Hit me with your best shot! :o) Seriously, any helpful

comments are really appreciated.

This is a great shot, the black and white with colored bouquet, the angel looking down on them, not many fresh looks at weddings pictures, this is definitely a fresh look. Very very well done. Best, Valerie

Thank you Valerie. They just seemed to get lost in each other at that moment. I love LOVE! :o)

I like how you lit up the veil, but the background went a bit dead for my personal liking. I also prefer to see th flowers pointing at me, not the stem. Maybe add one more flash behind them or by the bushes/ferns, aiming at the altar.

Thank you, Bob for your comment. We really didn't have time to set up an extra light (this was in between ceremony and reception), but I guess I agree about the background. I could probably lighten it up a bit in Photoshop, but I will most likely end up keeping it the way it is out of laziness. :o)

As far as the flowers, that must be just a preference, because I specifically told her to not point them at me. I just thought it looks too posed that way.

I appreciate your honest remark, Bob! Thanks for taking the time to actually write something thoughtful instead of just rating low.

This photo, off-center, has a very unposed candid appeal to it. The couple and their facial expressions, combined with the colored flowers over a B&W backdrop, are so totally distracting that I did not at first notice the over-exposure of the dress ... and in fact, found the rest of the photo so appealing that it ( excuse the expression ) overshadowed the over-exposure such as to make it immaterial in the overall affect of the photo.

Any of us who've done any amount of weddings at all know how challenging it is to get a photo where the reflectance of the dress doesn't over-power the photo & where getting good exposure of the faces in the photo is almost impossible. The faces are are well-enough exposed as to give the photo a all the je-ne-sais-quoi that any photographer could hope for when he shows the photos to the bride for the first time.
