Gordon, as i said in another photograph just the other day...me and you got some history and i consider you a friend. so, i'm hoping you'll always want me to be honest. this is an incredibly cute capture of kittens. What could be cuter?! But as a photograph...it's probably the worst shot in your portfolio, yet people are piling 6/6s on it because it's cute. Perhaps this is well intended (i'd certainly hope so...) but here's what I've learned from experience. Some are giving high marks for "cuteness". Some are giving high marks because they know nothing of what constitutes a good photograph...basically ignorant of the craft. Some damn well know this isn't a good photograph and are blowing smoke up your rear hoping you'll give them high marks because they gave them to you! This is a cute snap shot...but that's where it stops. I'm taking the time to say this because this type thing hurts you, the photographer....if you believe the high marks are valid. Find the best photo of a cat/kittens and compare this one...and you'll immediately see the difference. I live by what I'm telling you...as I no longer get the automatic 6/6 for anything/everything I posted...by one particular photographer because I found that he was giving almost nothing but 6/6s to everyone. I don't need high ratings I don't deserve. No one does in reality...but who doesn't like to hear good things about their work? All of us do. But I don't want one single high mark that I don't deserve. I gave you a 6/6 tonight on a great photograph. Compare this one with that photograph...and you'll see the difference. my best, john

Thanks John for being honest,I agree with you 100% and you will always be a friend too Me . and realy Honestly My girlfriend took this picture and I should have mentioned it earlyer , She whanted too see how it would doo ? this is the only one of hers in My portfolio???They are definatly cute A ?
