jkeyslaw 0 Posted May 2, 2007 First light of morning reaches the Teton front. Remnants of days long gone on the sagebrush flats of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Commentary welcome. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted May 2, 2007 John, scenic photography just doesn't get any better than this.......even though this is quite possibly the single most photographed barn on earth......Jim Link to comment
jkeyslaw 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Jim, Thanks. Actually, I think this is a different barn from the one you are thinking of--but very close by. Maybe the second most photographed barn. Beautiful spot. J. Keys Link to comment
tjroberts 0 Posted May 3, 2007 Really nice shot. I'd like to train my D200 to do the same. Where was it shot? Link to comment

regis 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Hello John. This place is amazing, I really wish I was there. Your composition is very nice and the colours in the distance are also very pleasing. I would however try to remove some of the blue cast in the shadows and work a bit on the sky part, to make it more three dimensional (if you know what I mean). You can use selective colour tool in PS to make this kind of adjustment. Finally your photo is a bit on the soft side, therefore I would apply USM (unsharp mask) here. PS. I've attached your file with some small corrections I've mentioned. Piotr Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted May 4, 2007 I think that some PS correction needed as mentioned by Piotr - more contrast on the mountain, some color correction of the shadow with a little more contrast add - and selective sharpening - that's all you need. Also somehow I felt the photo is not level - it's tilted from right to left Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Ditto Arnab. Those really were my initial thoughts, too. Link to comment
warren_knox1 0 Posted May 20, 2007 John, I think the photo is perfect the way it is. This fully captures the emotion of a early morning on the prarie near Jackson Hole. The world is not always crisp and clear, and this tells the tail so well down to the mist in the distance. Great job. Link to comment
