scoobylicious 0 Posted May 1, 2007 A nice capture. I like the sense of delicate weighting that it gives. The butterful is very sharp and contrasts nicely with the background. I'd prefer a slightly longer DOF to bring the flowers into sharper focus for it to be perfect. A great photo. Link to comment

omarmc 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Thank you every one for your comments, to Alistair: I do have a version with a bigger DOF where you can see the flower with more clarity, but I like this better since I want the butterfly to be the main subject of the photograph, and with the focus on the butterfly even if the flower is brighter doesn't interfere with the main subject. I will post later the other version with a bigger DOF and see which people like best. Thank you for your thoughts and advices they are very appreciated. Best Wishes. Omar. Link to comment

david shelby 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Beautiful capture of a very hard subject> Color, composition, and sharpness makes this a WINNER.. KEEP UP THE GREAT TAKING OF IMAGES. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Neat photo. That poor butterfly "hanging in the balance" is unique. Really lovely colors, and I agree that sharpening the flower might de-emphasize your main subject. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted May 3, 2007 I like the curve of the stalk, the absolute clarity of the butterfly, background adds value without detracting. I agree with your choice of the out-of-focus flower. Congrats. Link to comment
Mike Gallo 0 Posted May 4, 2007 I like the position of the butterfly and the way that the flower stalk bends, my only suggestion woud be to crop off the top where there is nothing going on, perhaps about a forth of the way down. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted May 4, 2007 Very beautifully composed macro. The arch of the plant very nice & the butterfly really seem to be having a good swing. Link to comment
