skersell33 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Thank you. As you know most of my work is with busy little bodies. This was my first time working with a still subject. I used the reflector my husband got me for Christmas. It's a dual tone (gold/silver) on one side and white on the other. I used the dual tone and it is quite captivating isn't it? Thanks again for you comments Ger. Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted May 3, 2007 How did you find the slower pace? I hate all that direction... I did my first organised shoot of a child who didn't know me on Sunday. She was sooo shy, we only did 30 minutes but she was starting to relax by the end of it. I just sat on the ground, got soaked and let her do what ever, which is the way I like to work. Her parents thought I got nothing but I got about 18 shots I was happy with, they will be surpised. Have to say I really enjoyed working that way. On the other side of the coin a friend of mine was in the exat same situation and hated it.."the little *** wouldn't stay still" was his reply when I asked him the next day. He never wants to do it again. Well I think for me social children photography is for sure one area I want to concentrate on. Ger.. Link to comment
skersell33 0 Posted May 4, 2007 This natural beauty is a 12-year-old from my church. She spends a lot of time with my family because her mom works a lot (single mommy). She's like a big sister to my kids now. Anyway, I always knew the camera would love her, so I offered to do a free shoot so I could play around with lighting and give her mom some memorable pics! But I certainly do enjoy taking candid pics of the little **** runnin' around all over the place. It's such a reflection of personality and that's where I want my market to be. Have you posted any pics from your organized shoot with the child? Can't wait to see them!! Link to comment
