Four Seasons Resort, Maui , HI

I am a grassroots amateur photographer. At the moment I am using a

simple point and shoot compact camera. I welcome all critiques.

Grassroots on the beach?! Anyway, nice image! Perhaps also try it with the foreground cropped out, so as to concentrate the tye on the umbrellas and shadows pointing to the curve of the beach. Just a thought, it's nice as it is.

I'd like to make the same point as JW.

If you could lose most of the bare sand in the forground, it really does make the umberellas the main subject, with the curves in the sand as accentuating marks.

 

It's a good start though, and I think, the best in your portfolio so far. (IMHO!)
