dee 14 0 Posted May 2, 2007 In this particular case Ger, even a white card would have bounced the light back up into her face a little... Not so easy while the kids are playing I know, but worth a thought. Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Yea I was actually looking at large foam sheets in an art shot the other day...Now if I could find a way to carry it without the wife getting embarassed (not even allowed to bring a brolly with us) Ger.. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2007 Ger, aside from the aforementioned eye shadows, she has a very sweet and inquisitive expression. I also like the way her eyes are focused away from the camera. I also think the sweater may be a problem, in that it draws more attention than does her face. It's a bit bright and overwhelming. Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted May 3, 2007 Yea Fred, It would be nice if it was a plain white jumper...but hey...I don't make decisions like that!! Just do what I'm told... Ger.. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 7, 2007 You move B&W into SEPIA and turn the highlight up a bit and the saturation down and movie it back and forth. My daughter has dark circles and that helps in this case when trying to use pictures in B&W in newsletters and such. This is of course a crude attemps and the white in the background goes a shade draker too. I absolutely LOVE what you did here and give it 6's because I personally LOVE B&W contrast and such. I don't think you really need to go any much lighter on the face because if you printed this out as a real picture it would fix most of the problem. The problem would be if you reproduced this in a newsletter form where the quality would be crappy. I think the was well done and the DOF is really good. I myself can not take photo's like this and always need help from the good old fashion computer. ~ micki Link to comment
