beautiful subject, and outstanding black and white work. Powerful sky contrasted with an equally powerful land... very nice (only nitpick is that I find myself wishing for a more straight on angle of attack so as not to have the optical illusion of a tilting horizon from the way the water hits the beach. Not sure if it would be the same from another angle, but maybe from a bit to the left of the rocks? Just a thought)

@ all,

thanks for your kind comments!

@ jeff,

yep, i got the same with the horizon, but i have checked it and it was ok. this inrigued me a bit in this shot, but hey....

i couldnt go much further to the left as there would have been the coastline in the shot on the right side. i was sitting on one of those rocks myself and tried not to wobble too much ;-))

Wow...a really beautiful composition with rich tones and textures. The light on the water adds to the overall beauty.

A ton of good stuff to like in this photograph.

The composition is wonderful. The foreground rock leads the eye toward the upper right rock, and it leads toward the more distant rocks at the left. The light portion of the sky on the horizon sits between these two rocks. and the light areas on the beach around and behind the foreground rock lead towards it. And of course, the dark tones create a very moody effect.

Good work

Fantastic composition and exposure. I love the balance of elements here. Great job in processing as well. Not easy to retain so much detail in the rocks against sky. Love to toning also. No critiques from me.
