This is the best fast rally action photo I've captured. Your

thoughts? Bear in mind the car was travelling at 80MPH+

Nice catch, Jamie! These are hard to get.

 

A few suggestions: Could be improved by giving the car a bit more 'room to move', ie more space in front. Not sure about the sign/fence thing at right, it's a bit distracting - perhaps try a tighter crop without it or the 'Tel..' sign. Lastly, panning with the car using a slightly lower shutter speed will give a 'speedier' look.

I know you are at the mercey of the elements and track position at a Rally however, having seen much of your Rally shots, I feel the biggest thing you could do is be more aware of the angle fof the sun hitting the car. This is a good example where the bonnet is slightly over exposed while there is little detail on the side pannelling.

 

Balance here will make a huge difference.

Nice photo but your shutter was too high.Try 250th of a sec. or slower.

Are you able to get closer to the ground to cover this corner? I think that would give you a better perspective of things.

If you can see the wheels spin then this picture is perfect.
