It is really a wonderful small town, distinguished from hundreds of others by two things ... first, it was Zadkine's home and studio for the final years of his life. There are some very fine works of his scattered through the village and especially there are two remarkable works in the church, a crucified Christ and a Pieta. These small pictures will give you an idea. Second, it is home to a rather famous restaurant called La Recreation. There was a book called "From Here You Can't See Paris" about the restaurant and the village, which I discovered the winter after my parents and I visited (to see the Pieta, actually).
