This is an excellent composition and amazing picture. Did you somehow modified this? For some reason the wings flapping seem a bit unusual, especially at the tips because they look like brushstrokes. Also, there seems to be a line delineating the body of the bird on the left side.

I have to go with Adan on this ... this looks totally photoshopped (correct me if I am totally off-base Jordan) .... it looks like the hummingbird was cut out from some other image and pasted onto this green background - the wings look to have been manipulated as Adan said because it looked like it was messy cutting out the original wings.

As others have mentioned, this picture leaves much to be desired in the post-processing done to it. I might add to what others have said, the single dodge spot over the eyeball also makes it look unnatural.

Beautiful capture Jordan i must say that Dale and Adan are wrong about this picture in some ways, if they or anyone for that matter looks at the bird and the background carefully, they should see that this picture was not cut and pasted onto a green background. The black lining on the left side of the bird is actually the sun shining on that side of the bird, the wing has stopped the light from shining on the left side of the body, and therefore is creating a shadow on the bird that gives the look that you may have( or possibly ) cut and pasted the bird onto a green background; But as i am looking at the background, i can see that you were using a powerful lense and you were far away from the trees or bushes, now the light is not as it should be, you should have tried to take the picture of the bird at another angle and you may have gotten the right ajustment of light and therefore made the picture and the background look more interesting, lovely capture though.

Keep it up Jordan

if you wish, go and visit jonathan Framer's pictures on all kinds of birds, you will be impressed.

Oh yes...you should have asked the humming bird and the bee to hold this position for a moment so you can change the angle ....what rubbish...

This is a great picture however produced.
