d2 0 Posted April 19, 2007 Hi Chiara - I think this has some very interesting qualities about it that have great potential to work well. The silhouetted shape dominating the foreground next to the lighthouse works, as does the framing of the city skyline and great sunset filling the background. What I think isn't working is that the verticals are not straight. If it's tipped on an angle intentionally, then I feel it's not enough to be obviously intentional. So it's comes across as a crooked shot instead. I'd try straightening the vertical of the building, and then also perhaps selecting and brightening the lighthouse up a bit. Forgive me if you already know about this trick, but in Photoshop, you can use the measure tool to run a line along the edge of the building in this case, and then use Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary and Photoshop will automatically provide the correct rotation amount to make the line you drew straight.
