It's obvious you are making a crack at the words "Homeopathic Remedies", thinking that it is a cure of some sort for being gay. Homeopathy is the treatment of disease by minute doses of natural substances that in a healthy person would produce symptoms of disease. It has nothing to do with San Francisco or the gay community.

 

There are, however, pills and remedies on the market for people like you, they make you smarter.

No, I wasn't giggling about homeopathic remedies, with which I am very familiar, I was giggling about the offering of Astrology Charts for K-9's, especially in conjunction with the offering of Skin Care.

 

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions please.

 

 

Its about the K9

Both Enrique's and Charles' comments seemed very clear to me. It also seems to me that anyone who completly passes by the humor in offering astrology charts for K-9's and jumps right to "It must be a joke about gays because he mentioned San Francisco and the sign has the word Homeopathic (Not Homo-pathic) in it!" is the one with the problem. You may want to take a few of those pills you mentioned and try again. And yes, it's about 5am, so perhaps I'm a bit crankier about it than I should be. -Anthony

Interesting the whole gay reference completely escaped me until this.

 

I'm not gay but I am a Sanfrancisco Native and certainly I have learned to live an let live.

 

I too am a SF native and didn't even think of any homophobic context for this when I commented. I think Larry owes an apology here.

 

San Francisco is second only to Berkeley for it's kooks and crazies, and I was reacting to Enrique's capture of one of those. Any other context is in the eye of the beholder.

 

 

For all those defending Enrique and , if the original intent for this image was for the K-9 Astrology Charts why would Enrique put this image in his POLITICS folder in his portfolio???? Please tell me what is so political about K-9 Astrology Charts?

I dont have a Humor folder, but I probably should, If you notice all of my images in the politics folder have a humorous satyrical intent.

 

I actually work in the health care industry and am completely versed on the Homeopathic medicine so for me to have confused it with a sexual preference or lifestyle is entirely unreasonable.

Since a rose is not a rose to you I have retitled the folder.

Without the K-9 reference it would have Zero humor and not stand out at all.

 

There are millions of homeopathic medicine sighns and millions of Gypsy astrologer signs but Only in SF do you see a sign like this.

 

And it was not even in the Noe Valley or Polk, it was in the Marina district.

 

 

 

I agree, all the images in your Politics folder had some humor/satire, but as the folder was labeled they all had a political reference. Since you declare this image to be about K-9 astrology it has no political stance. I took offense because some people may see the words 'Homeopathic Remedies' as a cure for being gay, not truly knowing what it meant. Also, since the gay community still is not accepted by a large number of people and mainly by our current Political leaders and you had the image in a folder labeled "Politics" it's easy to see how I could get a different meaning from your intention.

 

In my defense, Only a person with a guilty conscious would change the name of their folder to try and support themselves. It's like you're trying to convince yourself that the meaning of this image is about the humor of K-9 Astrology. You should have a backbone and stand behind your declaration and not change things to appease others. In my eyes your actions have spoke louder than your words.

 

To answer your questions, No I don't have a victim issue, and I don't have any pets. Judging by your comment you left in my portfolio you must think that you have offended someone from the gay community, you haven't. I'm not gay. That is why you don't see any phobic signs of "Straights" in my portfolio as you stated. I must thank you for that, I took offense to one image of yours and you make a personal attack on me in my portfolio.
