trees on the ridge - Kings Gap

A blustery spring day... This is one of those pictures that asked to

be taken while I was busy looking for something a little different.

Once I saw the contact sheet, I was glad I did.

Very good. The trees stand out nicely against the sky. Some nice dodge and burn in the right places could really bring out the sky, tree bark, and rocks. Great potential for a beautiful photograph!

Expressive selection of trees. Sky contrast does not compete with the foreground. In fact there is a distinct separation between the sky and the bank that the trees are sprouting from. Its very nicely done. The only constructive critic I'd say is that the dark split tree in the right front could use more definition. Slightly too dark. There is a lot of potential with this image in the darkroom. Have a go at it!
