cc-etex 0 Posted April 13, 2007 I took this photo of a local high school senior. Any constructive criticism or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Charles. Link to comment
kcolfer 0 Posted April 13, 2007 Not bad, if the flash was a little less intense, it might look like she was a part of the scene, instead of pasted in. If you can get the two to match it will look natural. Otherwise nice expression etc. Link to comment

anorakian 0 Posted April 13, 2007 I agree, she looks 'pasted in' a little bit. Also, the background is a little disturbing for me (the benches draw my attention). The light is a little hard perhaps. I do like the pink contrasting with the green, clear blue eyes and dark hair. Tones are also very good, detail is very good. All in all a fairly good portrait and a beautiful model! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 13, 2007 If you cropped the photo to get rid of the chairs I wonder how it would look? Also, and I realize this is being very picky, I would have had her make sure her hair wasn't blocking her left eye because her eyes are too pretty to even partially hide. Link to comment
cc-etex 0 Posted April 13, 2007 Thanks to all for their comments. I agree that the chairs are somewhat distracting for a portrait since the focus should be on the subject. However, just as a picture, I kind of like the area in the background as the hole in the tree braches leads to a sort of seperate world in the background. I have cropped the picture to eliminate the benches but it leaves me with kind of a boring, perfectly centered (although beautiful) subject. I could also remove the benches with Photoshop, but that is kind of against the spirit of "unmanipulated" images. Again, thank you for the input. Charles. Link to comment
