kenrick 0 Posted April 12, 2007 I really love this composition. I love the way you've captured the light and the transparency in the veil. Just one thing though there is a little spot just left of her neck that could probably be removed. Link to comment
john paul 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Thanks guys. Sorry Kenrick, I didn't see that spot. How embarrassing. Link to comment
zigzag 0 Posted April 12, 2007 it's an original pose that works well. I am unconvinced that you need all that space above and the hand (for me) should either be in or out. There is minor blue colourcast on the skin which you may want. It would be really hard to maintain the detail across the chest with the bright background. She is by necessity a little bit forward in the photo and you could see if it makes any difference having more white space in front. Link to comment

amandalockphotography 0 Posted April 12, 2007 This is a lovely moment. I found the bluish cast a bit distracting; I would really love to see what a black and white of this image would be like. I also think that maybe cropping her hand in the lower left corner would be a good idea, I found it a little distracting. But I love the fact that you can't see her face, and the softness of the veil. Beautiful portrait. Link to comment
nips 0 Posted April 13, 2007 This shot captured me quickly, and kept my attention for ages. It is simply fabulous. The shape and form and colour, kept me going back. Very good, excellent. Was much of this done in photoshop, I would be interested to hear and would like,... love. to some day have this talent. Thanks !! D Link to comment
john paul 0 Posted April 15, 2007 Thanks for your words Dee. This is how the photo came straight from the camera. The bride was getting ready in her hotel room which was quiet dark. It was a very bright day outside and so I asked her to stand in front of the large window. I set my camera to 125 shutter speed, f2.8 and iso 200. This overexposed the outside world. Nothing too fancy. You could do it with your eyes closed. I was just lucky to have the dark room and bright sky. Link to comment
