brian_goodman 0 Posted April 12, 2007 The scene had amazing color and contrast. Got one exposure and then it was gone. Not sure if I did it justice. Thanks for looking...Brian Link to comment
inscapephoto 0 Posted April 12, 2007 for a possible improvement one could increase the reds in road, while maintaining the strong blue and green in the sky and grass, or alternatively, bring the colour right down in road. personally id like to see the grass a little less green as i find it distracting, and would like to see the road a bit more red, perhaps the sky a touch lighter. Good photo overall. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted April 12, 2007 In some ways i would agree with the above poster, just make sure you dont over do it. I love this photo though, very dramatic colors. Link to comment
brian_goodman 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Thanks everybody for your input. Christopher, I'm not sure what you mean about the green grass. I believe you mean the lake which is down the hill. It also had pretty intense light on it. I kind of liked the intense stormy sky, and wanted to keep it dark. Probably giving the road some more color is something I will certainly try. Again, thanks for your thoughts. Link to comment
options 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Sorry, I'm not much of a photographer. But your photo is fantastic. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Brian, by keeping the exposure dark, you probably got better colors in the road in the first place, since any brighter and you would probably start loose details (bear in mind im currently using a pos laptop monitor, instead of my normal CRT). Darkening photos does 'seem' to bring out a little saturation. Perhaps try this as a BW? if you play with the reds, you could probably have an amazing image. You could make the road pop as much as the clouds pretty easy i think. Link to comment

evan garner spellman 1 Posted April 15, 2007 yes i agree with you that the contrast is very wide, i personally like shots with a lot of light and dark area's. the road pulls you to the dark cloud background Link to comment
