dave_holland 0 Posted May 14, 2002 Geat shot, Jeff. As I am sure you know, the shutter speed was slow enough to make the water appear as clouds. Link to comment
geoffeldridge 0 Posted May 14, 2002 This is an excellent photo, Jeff. I hope you happy with it. You seem to be getting the hang of the new equipment now. The ``square'' works for this one. I really like the detail in the foreground rocks .. a really nice exposure. Did you use a split ND filter? If so, where was it placed in the image. Also any other exposure details would be appreciated. Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted May 14, 2002 Thanks Geoff and Dave. I used a 3 stop hard Lee grad set on the horizon. I have to confess that I didn't record the exposure time, but it was at f/16 on hyperfocal. I was on a rock above the foreground rock and far enough away for hyperfocal to get everything sharp. Link to comment
rbctvguy 0 Posted May 14, 2002 ...a beautiful photograph. I love the way the water looks so soft and silky in contrast to the detail and roughness in the rocks. I also especially like the little pool of water on the foreground rock. Great job with this image! Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted May 15, 2002 The water looks like low lying fog. How many times have you seen a shot like this wear the rocks/land in the foreground is just a silhouette. You maintained sharp detail in the dark rocks in the foreground which takes this shot a step above all the rest that are similar in style. Link to comment
jan w 0 Posted May 15, 2002 nice tones, water almost surrealistic due to long exposure.nice shot to look at! Link to comment
marcelo_salup 0 Posted May 16, 2002 Absolutely, utterly, wow! What a beautiful photograph. So well composed, so... beautiful. Link to comment
ted_kostek 0 Posted May 16, 2002 I have a real weakness for long exposures where the water is turned into something else. Link to comment
andrew_frost 0 Posted May 16, 2002 Very cool. I like the almost surreal feel of the rocks and water Link to comment
kev 0 Posted May 17, 2002 Love the mood of the image. The fog is a nice touch with the rocks slipping through. Great shot. Link to comment
s_ren_nielsen 0 Posted June 3, 2002 I don't know wheter it's the middle format itself or the people who use it but the MF photos always seem so much better technically. This is fantastic. What a depth, what a sharpness. Link to comment
