paul_norman_dicaire 0 Posted May 13, 2002 I love this image. Your choice of color works well. Very well. Link to comment
samdeleted 0 Posted May 14, 2002 The mixing of B&W and color is starting to get slightly overdone, but it works very well here. Congratulations. Link to comment
schristian 0 Posted May 21, 2002 compelling - I could go for one of those right now!! composition well thought. Link to comment
j_yabrow1 0 Posted May 29, 2002 I agree with Sam above, the "partial destaturation to add emphasis" is getting very overdone and tiresome. HOWEVER, it really works well here. This actually made me get up out of my chair and go for a cold drink (albeit non-alcholic, i'm at work!). very well done! Link to comment
shedonist 0 Posted May 31, 2002 I appreciate all the wonderful candid feedback on this photo. I do have to say the "overdone" comments bug me a bit though... I don't think because other photographers/artists have tried something before that it should invalidate someone else's attempts. This is my first crack at the grayscale/color mixing. I am very pleased that despite the weariness of this stylistic choice for some, the photo has still gone over well. Thank you. Link to comment
chad_mitchell1 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Excellent shot. The color is just enough to bring it the desired effect. In this case, subtle is best. Link to comment
indraneel 0 Posted June 15, 2002 I wonder if you can increase the grain size of the background (as this is a digital photo). that would perhaps make it seem like a hot day, nothing like a cool, cooool drunk :) me reaching for my coke :( (also remove the glare from the glass, and burn the white in the background just a wee bit) Link to comment
