arnold_schmidt 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Well done Stuart this is a well exposed a perfectly focused motoring racing picture (you do not seem to get many motor sport critiques around here). However I think it could be improved if there was more of a sense of movement in the image, I appreciate it?s a bit hit and miss but you might of wanted to slow the shutter speed down a bit and pan as the car passed. This image just seems a bit stagnant compared to some of your other BTCC 2007 shots, the red Porsche for example in my eyes is a better picture as it conveys the speed of the sport better. I took some rally photographs recently and found that those with some movement blur look better, but that?s just my opinion. Anyway thanks for posting! Robert Link to comment
stuart adams 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Thanks for the comment Robert, as you said it's a bit hit and miss a lot of the time. This photo was taken on qualifying day and I did try to slow the shutter speed down on race day, with varied results I guess the panning perfection will come with practice. One of the biggest problems I had was getting shots where either the front of the car was in focus but the rear wasn't or the other way round. I guess it's back to the circuit for the next race meeting for some more practice. Link to comment
