peza 0 Posted May 12, 2002 How much do you like this one ? What do you think about T-Max 100 ? I find it wonderfully sharp with tendence to block shadows, but this is also because of dynamic range of my scanner.. Link to comment
Jeremy Stein 0 Posted May 12, 2002 I really like this picture; it gives me a feeling of involvement with the model, even though she clearly has reservations about something. The lighting is excellent, and the tonality is very smooth and effective. I do think that the branch in the foreground is superfluous and the picture would be much cleaner without it. You've also done an excellent job of separating the model from the background. Shoot more B&W -- it looks like you're good at it! Link to comment
jim_c 0 Posted May 12, 2002 I love this photo! I am torn about the branch, part of me says, it's tells a story about the location of this photo. Another part of me says it is a major distraction. Top notch comp and lighting. I am impressed with what you have created. And I love her expression, very thought provoking. Link to comment
secondsight 0 Posted May 12, 2002 Judging by the white lump to left of the branch at the bottom of the frame I'd say she is probably holding the branch. If so, then including her hand holding the branch might help this shot, especially if you can turn the shot from landscape mode to portrait mode. Otherwise, even moving her head back a bit so her chin isn't actually in contact with the branch could help a fair bit. Overall, very well done. Bye for now. Link to comment
darrenmambo 0 Posted May 13, 2002 Like everything except the branch and your reflection in her eyes Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted May 13, 2002 Hmm, this is a lovely shot... but. I would like it better with the branch a little to the left of her face and positioned so as to follow the coutour of the face. I also find the bright spot from the bit of knuckle distracting. Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 556 Posted May 13, 2002 beautiful eyes & tones in the face, but that thing in the foreground distracts my eye Link to comment
scotshot 0 Posted May 14, 2002 very strong image with great eye contact, but why have an out of focus branch running through the image? Link to comment
mindiris 0 Posted May 14, 2002 Great eye contact. I like the shot. The branch is not well placed and really removes a lot to the picture (imho). Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted May 14, 2002 Very sharp, great contrast. I'm not big on the position of the stick. In fact, I think it would have been bette off without it. Link to comment
peza 0 Posted May 14, 2002 Yes yes, this branch was part of composition and from series of shots this one I liked most.Next time I'll be more carefull about unusual objects in composition, not everybody likes it. Link to comment
bob fowler 8 Posted June 14, 2002 I like the idea of the diagonal element, but I feel it should have been placed a little lower and off more to the right in the composition. She's got great eyes... Link to comment
