wonderfully surreal composition with smooth transition from sea to sky and land trailing off into both. It's a pleasing statement of our dependence upon the whole of our world. Delightful!

I agree with Paul, This would look great on a wall in a huge format, just stunning!

I thought Judy's comment was very interesting: "It's a pleasing statement of our dependence upon the whole of our world." I am not sure I would readily use the word "pleasing" but I completely understand her viewpoint. For me, this vividly exteriorizing image has an edge to it that is variously transcendent and existential depending on how I want to see it. The paradox of the image resolves if you consider that the world and the bodies stuck to this world by gravity are the creations of life and we who view this image are the life itself.

A little background on the photo. This is in the out islands of the Bahamas close to Farmers Cay. The only thing I photoshopped on it wasa small piece of trash. When you walked to the end of the sand bar, the sky and the ocean were the same color so you had and overwhelming sense of vertigo. This is also my wife six months pregnant with our first child and so it was our last great solo adventure.

Very original ! The sky and the "far" water are exactly the same color ! A blend of sky reflexion, alguea, etc... wow ! I believe you when you say that its the most beautiful place you saw !

I'd like to see it 1000 pixels wide. Incredible image... considering the severe, severe mental limitations of the photographer. (Hi, Jamie.) ;-)

I wish the horizon line was 3/5ths and as everyone says,the size was bigger.A dream.

This is beautiful. That line that leads nowhere is incredible and how the blue of sky and sea mould into one. You can be very proud of this photo.
