a photographer is shot close to the Cross

Very striking. Simple composition, good framing, nice sky (polariser?), nice toning. Interesting dilemma with the contrast, makes it more striking, but then some detail lacking. Well done!

The lines around the ground, the cross and man make it look as though the elements of this picture where cut and pasted together.

 

Now this might simply be because of rather enthusiastic edge enhancement, but it does detract greatly from the image.

 

I really wanted to like this image but the lines are very troubling.

the people stands on a little platform around 10 meters higher than where i am, and it is shot by a long zoom around 300mm, pressing the front and the background in a plane, which might give you the feeling.
