iancoxleigh 0 Posted April 4, 2007 A true wall of fog rolled away from us one morning, providing some excellent photographic opportunities. Please view this in the larger size for the best impact and also have a look at the rest of my shots from that morning (in my portfolio) if you like this one. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
steve lamplugh 0 Posted April 4, 2007 There are few places on earth like Algonquin Park! I take my boys camping there every year. Gorgeous image!!!!!!!!! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 9, 2007 This is gorgeous, Ian. Is Cedar Lake in the Algonquins? (I noticed that you have several folders of photos from there.) Do you live in Ontario? I grew up in Buffalo, NY ... we were often visiting Ontario, either to drive around and enjoy the scenery, or to go to Toronto, or for vacations. I never made it to the Algonquins, though. Someday! :-) I love how you caught the fog rising up from the lake in this shot. If you only look at the bottom half, you quite expect a nice blue sky with a little puffy cloud or two. Wonderful! iancoxleigh 0 Posted June 9, 2007 Lou Ann, thank you. This is my absolute favourite of all of my shots of the fog on this lake. Yes, this is in Algonquin provincial park. Cedar lake is right at the north end of the park near Mattawa (half-way across the north end of the park between Ottawa and North Bay). I've gone camping there with some of my friends. Were are hoping it is going to be an annual tradition -- I'll be going up the last week of August this year again. I live in dowtown Toronto the rest of the year (convenient to UofT where I'm a graduate student in Egyptology). Link to comment
Fishermang 0 Posted July 15, 2007 Beautiful photo! Love how the island stands out, and the fog makes the shot. Well done. Link to comment
