igor_leonidovich_mestman 0 Posted April 10, 2009 I usually stay out of critiquing architecture, but the choice of lense (zoom) is not optimal. The minarets of the Masjid are hopelessly out of focus, which is particularly pronounced in B&W. Oddly (and perhaps due to a form of the zoom’s spherical aberration…) both the boats in the foreground and the main pillars of the all too modern suspension bridge in the distance appear to be in considerably sharper focus… I would recommend a 6x7 fixed focal lense, at the very least, if not the color alternative of the night time high lighting. Feel free to peruse the genre at http://www.aulia-e-hind.com/MasjidGallery.htm, for possibly new ideas regarding this unique niche of architectural photography. Link to comment
