I'm glad that guy is standing there, otherwise, I would have had no idea how huge this is. Great shot.

Nice light and composition. the person looking there adds defenitely to the composition to see all in perspective.

Good ligthing, I guess this must have been difficult to meter... and I really how the "tourist" standing there adds scale to the image.

Excellent setting, and lighting. I particularly like how the statue and the person seem to be interacting. The dimensional difference is awe-inspiring and that is refleceted on the person standing there, even if we cannot see his expression. You managed to catch a very suitable pose, or moment I should say. This is a great archeological picture.

 

Where is this place?

.. right, I was posting from the critique page, where unfortunately the photo details are not visible, that is why I was wondering where it is. Now, seeing the photo page with the location described all over it, and my comment asking "where is this?" just below, I felt silly and thought I´d explain myself.

There's a tonal range that is rightly the envy of many a photographer, while the tourist really puts things into perspective.
