Perfect composition! Very good colors and mood!

Great depth, interesting motif. Love the wide angle perspective, and the composition. The alternate version is too bold for my taste. What did you do with the sky transition, a hard grad ND or PS ? Too noticeable gradient there, IMO

Carsten, no filters were used, I simply adjusted the contrast (curves) in PS, in the alternate I created a layer and used the "multiply" blending in the sky only, as I wanted more contrast, to make the clouds pop out. Acutally, what you see as an obvious transition is due imo to the mist coming up from the river. While it was still frozen, this was following a very warm day (+14) which led to the heavy mist in the bkgd.

This has an appealing taste to it, but the landscape with more horizon and clouds still was my vote for being the better of the bunch..Nothing wrong with any of 'em tho...
