Spicebush Butterly, macro +4 closeup lens with very shallow DOF

----Spicebush Butterly on 'sawtooth' daisey. Stem of flower is

obliterated by shallow DOF of 2+,3+ combo lens on 50mm Pentax;

Does the 'floating' effect of the flower distract excessivly from the

overall theme of the photo?

I like the floating effect here.

I think it's great. DOF is no more nor less important in close up than any other style. Everybody loves the isolation of a fast telephoto for "full-size" subjects, and it works in the small world just as well.

---discovered error in i.d. of butterfly ---it's a red spotted 'purple' , not a spicebush. ;-(
