yinkamd 0 Posted March 25, 2007 Will, excellent as always! I think the lighting and composition are fantastic. The expression is absolutely delightful. IMHO the right eyebrow is too blurred though. Best wishes Yinka Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Will - I think this is great technically. Her eyes are sharp and her skin is soft which is something that I often strive for with my portraits. I wish she was making that expression more in your direction versus mom or dad's but I know how hard it is to get them to look at you when Mom & Dad are doing their best to get the children to smile. Unfortunately when they do smile, they are doing it for their parents versus the photographer. Lately, I have actually asked some parents to leave the room and let me try working with the children alone. I have achieved some great results this way but it definitely needs to be done with the right kid and not one that will have a melt-down. Emily Link to comment
timeless expressions 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Will, How cute is this....such a natural expression! I LOVE her hair. Your post processing is amazing. The catch lights are great! What type/shape of softbox are you using? Thanks for sharing this it made me smile! Sandy Link to comment
will king 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Thanks all for your comments. Sandy, thanks for the kind words. I'm thrilled that you mentioned my post processing on this shot because I used a new technique I never tried before and I guess it works. For the lighting I use AlienBees. On this shot it was a large octabox as the key light and an umbrella as the fill. Link to comment
