lucyhollis 2 Posted March 23, 2007 Spectacular landscape - it must have been pretty special to see too! Link to comment
bkromer 0 Posted March 24, 2007 The foreground appears completely contrived, which I believe takes away from this entire photo. I believe this photo would have been spectacular without the photoshopped foreground. Link to comment
Fishermang 0 Posted March 24, 2007 Absolutely fantastic view! The colours (particularly the sunlight on the distant mountains), the cloudscape, all the detail. Magick! Link to comment

rapp 0 Posted March 24, 2007 I'm really not sure, but it looks like both the background and the two foregrounds are from different photos. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 25, 2007 Most beautiful, these natural clouds of sea separating the fg & distant mountains. Lovely landscape. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted March 25, 2007 Dagfinn and Ben, I got the same initial impression as you - exposures combined in PS. I do feel that a blend was used to retain foreground exposure that needs some balancing for a more natural appearance. The mountains are comparatively too dark and there seems to be some separation between the frosted trees and background mist - a merging of two exposures which creates the unnatural look and will be a problem on print. By the way, a really amazing shot of an area I have never seen photographed. I just don't think the blend was necessary and even if you like the bright foreground a grad filter would have saved you a lot of time, if in fact the foreground was even taken from the same area. erenozkapici 0 Posted March 25, 2007 Thank you all for your comments and critiques. It's not easy always to hear thoughts of many photonet members. Especially it's an honour for me to take feedback from Mark Adamus. I'll take into account your advice, thanks again... Link to comment
sawicki 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Great view, so many layers, and the mountain in the back wonderfuly lit. Amazing clouds - great picture - what to say. Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted March 26, 2007 I have to say it but despite being rather excited to see this thumbnail the bad photoshoped foreground has ruined an essentially wonderful photograph. Shame. The mountains and fog are great, but the foreground is such a bad attempt you shouldnt have bothered. Link to comment
