Nice use of square frame.

I really like this picture. I suppose if it were my work I might play around with the blur created by her glossed lips--I find myself wondering what it would look like if the lower white line was a tad less noticeable, but that's just me. Another thing I might try and bring out is that gorgeously done bun that is less noticeable due to the dark color behind her. Having said those things I should say again that as the picture stands--its wonderful. -Emily

Alfredo, thank you for your ongoing encouragement and wonderful words. James, I'm glad you like my square. I've noticed one blurry folder in your portfolio as well :) Emily, thank you for your input. I agree with you about the hair; the above is a negative scan and I try to stay true to my original shots. Basically it works like that: if I can't achieve some effect in my darkroom, I don't touch it in Photoshop. I use the latter only to resize my scans, add contrast or darken/lighten my image.

Yeah, my blurries are mostly accidents, yours are very deliberate. Nice work.

I like the framing of this image, square format is great and the out of focus represents well the "Rushing" of the title. Good DOF.
