Ken, My favourite of your 3 most recent posts, mainly for the balance and the depth. As suggested by Teresa, an exploration in B&W would not be waisted time. Looks like a fun location; you'd probably never run out of possibilities. Best, LM.

My fav also!

Beautiful colors, and the depth is so perfect. I feel like I am there.

Love the light on the left foreground rock.

I guess I'm alone on this one...I actually like the other better...the rock to the left side is a bit overpowering to me. It's distracting because I find myself trying to see around it to the open sea. Just a thought...maybe if it were cropped to about half its current thickness it would be so bothersome, but I'm not sure. I do love the early morning light, though and the wispy clouds make for an interesting sky.

Oh no, Dude... please don't tell me you dumped the 6x6 (a man's camera) for one of those digital whatchamacallit thingydings with all the buttons and switches and flashing lights all over the place! You were the last one that I thought would go over to the Dark Side. That's it, Buddy: no more Cuban Puros for you. Regards.

Wonderful quality image. I like the morning light and position of the rocks against a fabulous sky! Another great to add to your ever growing collection of greats!

The lighting in this image is just plain fabulous. And, it is not the usual sun in the distant horizon light, but a somewhat hidden light source that is accentuated by your choice of compositional location. Each one of your pictures tempt me more and more to get a place by the Oregon coast, but, oh, those cold and rainy days! I know I sound like a wimp, but, lovely image, nonetheless. 7/7.

It is TOO like saying I'm right :p Duh! Anyway, now that I see the new crop, here are my thoughts...I definitely prefer this in color...I think it needs the color in the sky...the varying shades of blue added interest. Also, now that you've cut off some of the left, it may need a little off the top to balance it. If you don't want to crop it more, I would leave it as the original. BTW, if I didn't say this before, the light makes the shot, but then you knew that :)

Hi Ken, long time no hear..

I like this the best of your recent landscape shots.

Very nice comp and light. I might lighten the foreground rocks a tad.

Although it might just be the evil white photo.net background shutting down

my eyes. It might look perfect in print.

Thanks for the congrats on my Popphoto shot.

I retired from 30 years of teaching last May.

I'm playing more, I've also had shots in Backpacker, Natures Best

and Wyoming Wildlife. They don't pay all that well, but recognition

is rewarding.

Keep on shooting...

Miles
