Enhorabuena Link to comment
john_h.1 5 Posted March 23, 2007 See! Great photos can be made without photoshopping in birds flying accross the horizon. Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted March 23, 2007 This one goes to prove that high dynamic range processing kicks butt but first and foremost; that you are a very talented photographer. There is a bit of "surreal" feel to it because the boat looks like there is a flash right next to it but you cannot see any flash on the water reflection...it makes it as if it's floating a bit but that's minor...If anything it might be a plus actually... the water variation of textures which show the cloud lines or blur them are divine...it makes the picture seem from another space time continuum or a parallel universe much more beautiful than our own. That's the magic of photography and you captured it. A top picture that deserves to be at the top. It's great. My compliments to you. Link to comment
david_schwartz6 3 Posted March 23, 2007 Maciek -- Thanks for the details. Stunning composition! The vanishing point of the river is placed PERFECTLY. Magnificent. Link to comment

dougsmiley 0 Posted April 1, 2007 I'm as impressed as everyone else, but I do have one suggestion that will make this image even better-darken the right edge to about 1/8 of the way in. I'd like to see this version if you do it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 2, 2007 If this is not a 7/7 I have not seen one on this site. It reminds me alot of Adams black and white work. Absolutely perfect. I really like black and white and this one deserves all the praise it gets. Link to comment

joo_chung 1 Posted June 27, 2007 Absolutely beautiful. And the boat really makes it perfect. Anchors the photo wonderfully. The shadow from the cloud gives a great range of exposure and very subtly enhances the effect of the leading line from the river to push the viewer's eyes from the boat in lower left to the distant horizon of the river on the upper right. Going from darker to lighter. Terrific photo! Link to comment
scott_williamson1 0 Posted June 27, 2007 This is great b/w work; I look forward to being able to produce similar quality shots. But gotta ask about the boat; looks out of place to me a little -- did you add this in post-processing? Just curious; again, great shot. Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted June 27, 2007 This is as good as it gets! Excellent black and white image. My eyes keep looking deeper and deeper into the background. PERFECTION! deb Link to comment
adam firth 0 Posted April 15, 2008 Absolutely beautiful image which I would be proud to have in my pf. The only critique I have and I am being picky (but thats what critique is all about) the image seems slightly out of balance with the lightness on the right hand side, it still works a treat but would be interesting to see with some dodging or other darkening technique applied to this light area of the image.
