Guest Guest Posted March 20, 2007 Reminds me of an Escher graphic. I think it's a great idea and the person on the stairs, especially in the pose she is, adds a lot to it. The figure provides additional movement to an already moving staircase. I think there is, though, a problem in the execution. More even lighting with sharp contrasts would work better. To me, the upper stairs being so light and the bottom being so dark take away a little from the graphic quality and the overall movement suggested. With more balance, I think the graphic effect and the circularity would be heightened, whereas this lighting detracts a little from what the photo ultimately could be creating. Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted March 20, 2007 You are very correct about the contrast... I didn't push the film at all, this needs to be printed in high-contrast, somewhat like this one. But I'm not sure if an even lighting will be better, got to think about it :-) Link to comment
