I managed to get a few eagle shots myself when I was in Alaska. It certainly is the place to photograph them. I do like the composition of this one but wish I could see more detail in the birds feathers.

Very interesting pose you've captured here. Nice to see something new in an eagle photo. The morning sky made a very nice background for you.

@David: The only way to get more detail in the feathers of the eagle this time in the morning, while it still is quite dark outside, is by using flash like so many other photographers do when shooting eagles, or lighting up the eagle, but I personally refuse to use flash in wildlife. In this case I like it the way it is because the darker feathers do stand out nicely against the lighter background. Best regards, Harry

Very nice work. I would suggest working on the halo around the bird and branch, to minimize or totally remove it. Composition is superb and the capture is excellent - thanks for posting.
