lburk1 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Two great warplanes in their day. This was shot at the NAF El Centro Airshow. Link to comment
luke_rutherford 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Nice technique, nice composition, especially given a mobile subject. With moving objects I'm never sure whether the larger portion of empty space should be at the front or the back. Usually the presence of space at the front suggests the existence of somewhwere for the objects to move into. This composition is the reverse and looks fine. I wonder what other people think. Whichever way I choose I'm always unhappy. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted March 14, 2007 I think that as with the heritage flight shot, the adoption of a custom aspect ratio and the apparent goal to crop super tight around the airplanes basically eliminates all composition from the photo. The extra space behind the airplanes does strike me as odd given the care taken to trim so close to the action in other respects, but it does not bother me that much. Link to comment
pluckmyeyeout 0 Posted March 14, 2007 With this image, I think the focus is on the planes, so the tight crop works. If you bring it out any further, detail is lost. Link to comment
gnashings 5 Posted March 17, 2007 Nice shot - but technically speaking these two are Lim's. Link to comment
