Michael, you made an interesting composition out of a fraction of your field of view. Having seen this now, I wonder what it would look like had it all been in colour. The added light source with a hand and flame is a beauty of a detail, and I wonder also if I would not remove the cigarette on this occasion for that reason. An interesting photo that stimulates thought.

Hum, as an afterthought, I would be tempted to leave also the child in a frame in the picture in black and white. I tried that recently and I find that it can add another dimension to a photo ...

Enjoyed this immensely, Michael. So many years since using a view camera. and an ancient 300mm Goerz brass mounted lens. Never had such a neat stand though.Nicely done. Like the solid black to the left. Very creative blending with the (model's) background and bellows.

Great image! - but I wonder if it would look more Real/Surreal/HyperReal if the line between the frame and the picture was a little less sharp.
