This is one of two exposures -- one with Provia and the other Velvia. For a change, I preferred the Provia image (this one) to the Velvia. The Provia captured more interesting foreground but had a less snappy middleground green. I pumped up the saturation a tiny bit in the greens here to make the midground closer (not quite the same as) the Velvia shot.

Everything works well with the image aside from the far BG blue that is too oversaturated and jumps to the eye as the strongest color in composition, I'm a long time digital user, so I evaluate the last result only. other components of composition are nice especially the FG.

Thanks for catching this. Yes that caught my eye too (shortly after I posted it). As far as I can tell this is the result of putting a curve on the image to increase the lightness and contrast. It looks perfectly natural until I turn that layer on. I'll have to fix that. As usual, thanks for the thoughtful commentary. Always nice to hear from you.

I like this, Bill. There might be a little too much blue overall, though it's hard to tell on my uncal'd work monitor. Provia does tend towards the blues, doesn't it? I've been using Astia lately and adjusting to my preference in PS.

Agree with your assessment about the blue. I am working on that and will repost when done.

OK, I re posted it here. Changes are subtle. Mostly I reduced the blue cast especially in the foreground grasses. Also fixed saturated blue water.
