kiwirob 0 Posted April 30, 2007 I don't like it, but I'm not sure if it works compositionally. Does the small element of foreground interest help it along or should the bottom half just disappear altoghether? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Link to comment
stoatsngroats 1 Posted April 30, 2007 For my taste, the foreground should be all water. It gives a greater lead in IMHO; currently the foreground seems to distract my eye.Its got some good quality, the grain is nice, and the lone fisherman is really isolated. well done! Shaun Link to comment
dwm1953 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Because we are educated from a young age to read left to right we tend to look at photographs the same way. The foreground would create a better lead in if we flip the image horizontally thereby placing the foregroung element on the left. The foreground no longer distracts because our eyes naturally move off of it. [Note: It takes a little bit of time to get used to the reversed perspective.] For your consideration... Link to comment
