Thanks Claude, you were my inspiration for this. I loved your beautiful frosty images. I thought it would be my last chance today with the milder weather coming, so I took a few shots off of my window. Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to spring too.

I like your version very much Ken. The possibilities are endless, I saved 4 of them myself. Really glad you like it. What tool did you use to get the blue out? I tried different things to get to your version but without success, yet . . .

:-)

Hi Kim - In PhotoShop under 'color saturation' there is a drop down box that shows 6 colors that you can increase or decrease the saturation of those 6 colors ...... I also played with the levels adjustments too .... highlights, mid-tones and shadows.

Thanks Ken for sharing your "recipe". Well, I tried printing my version and on paper it's way too blue. You were right. I will try your trick and print another.

Hi Jay! You are right, it was flippin' cold! Last really cold snap of the season we hope! I have admired photos of crystals for quite a while and always wondered how they took those shots. Well I'm getting close now thanks to this camera and it's manual focus. Your description was very appreciated. Very nice to see you.

Thanks so much Rashed. I'm glad you enjoyed viewing a close up of my frozen window.

Kim, I like your version and Ken's as well, the composition of textures and colors is interesting!

Hi Pnina, yes I think it's interesting too to discover all the intricate patterns in those tiny formations. The colour comes from the background which is sky and bare trees, so blue and brown. Ken did have a good idea removing the blue. I like his version too.

I love the ice lace formation: very appealing though cold ( I am already projected toward spring:-)

I'd like to see all four versions you saved.
