suzanne_berry 0 Posted June 1, 2002 What a handsome dog ... The background goes very well for the breed of dog he (she) is, but I don't like the color of the framing around it, it takes away from the outdoors look of it all. Great shot though! Link to comment
amason 0 Posted June 13, 2002 The frame, as you had it, was clearly disturbing, I like this photo much better now. Link to comment
glenn_polin 0 Posted July 6, 2002 Geert, I'm not a dog lover, but this portrait really moves me...a fine portrait...the colors are rich and there is nothing sappy or cute about it (dogs are too cute for me; I have cats). The dog is proudly displayed for what he/she is. Great job! (oh, the frame doesn't hurt it, and I agree it does need a frame, but the color choice is a little jarring. I think that's why people are reacting to it.) Link to comment
larry_mobbs 11 Posted August 8, 2002 Love this photo. It's like the dog is saying, "I'm tired but still ready to do anything you ask". Given that the dog is gone I hope this photo lets your memories stay forever. Great lighting captures a great subject. Link to comment
maderik 4 Posted September 1, 2002 When viewing this photo via the critique page, I was going to suggest shooting again with a slightly less busy background. Now I see that's not an option. Perhaps a mild amount of gaussian blur? Beautiful light, color and expression. Link to comment
