marco_ruggiero 0 Posted March 7, 2007 This was shot by My Brother, Massimo, while sitting in his office chair. Perhaps it could have been placed in other categories but Abstract seemed to be the most appropriate.Your comments and critiques are always welcome.Thank you. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted March 7, 2007 My brother is an accomplished architect in Venezuela, and as such he is an artist as well. As you can see he has a good eye and a great sense of composition and perspective. Thanks again for your interest. Marco Link to comment
Saludos Link to comment

meli d 0 Posted March 8, 2007 and I like it more and more each time to see it. It's tricky to the eyes and brain, since the white floor lines ">" to the right, crossing inwardly, and yet the feet direct outwards to the left. great colors, textures, including the feet of man, and the leg of the chair. it has a very masculine feel and very appropriate for display in the den/study/office. Man at work. the X/Cross has its own profundity. Well seen; well colored. imho! Cheers! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 8, 2007 Your brother has hit it right on the nose, Marco. This is the type of picture that every viewer will see in his own unique way. It provokes emotional response without imposing the artist's interpretation on the viewer. For me it is the perfect metaphor and as good as I am with words, all I can say is it evokes feelings of bustling movement, hurrying off in all directions, a compass, the world in motion...things that won't fit neatly into any little package of logical or critical explanation. But then great photos soar beyond the reach of words (perhaps poetry can catch their spirit sometimes). And make no mistake about it, this is a GREAT photo. From every angle: composition, harmony of color, freshness of viewpoint and the way it stimulates our imagination to leap free from the limits of space and time, it is a tremendous success. In short, I like it! Link to comment

Link to comment
