fought to give us the freedom we have today.

A great picture and the eyes speak volumes. You can almost touch his memories.

But a little over-sharpened (unsharp mask?) for my tastes - in my opinion it would look better a touch softer.

I like portraits that also tell us a story, and here you have it - emotions, nostalgy, and simply great portrait.

This is a first-class photograph, technically excellent but the major impact is in the story behind the image. Taken, I assume, at a Remembrance Service, and you can really picture all the lost colleagues marching behind his eyes. Thank you for sharing this - it will stay with me for a long time.
