Venom canal on a spiders fang

I am not sure how to best illustrate the venom canal on this spiders

fang but have another oppertunity to take this shot soon, any

suggestions would be very welcome.

I think it's a great shot...although if you could get the focus a little tighter on the tip itself, the shot might be better.

Two things I'd address: 1) Lighting - add some from the sides of the fang, to bring out the curve and roundness. 2) Just for fun, place a drop of liquid on the tip - if you can.

Thankyou, thats very helpfull, one of the reasons for the retake was the lack of focus, so will do , or at least try to, that was the best out of about 50, it is difficult keeping up with the subject.

 

The droplet is an excelent idea, perhaps a little off yellow liquid would help, i will have to find out from the owner what is the most correct, if he doesn't mind cheating too much, it would make it a much more interesting picture :)
