bleedingashes 0 Posted March 5, 2007 beautiful contrast and reach between the creation of man and the creation of nature through the lake of souls sealed in stones, seems almost like a dialogue between the sculpted stone and the tree guarding the dead. Excellent perspective and idea. Link to comment

holmesj181 0 Posted March 6, 2007 interesting texture and "push" experiment. but, i think the heavy polarized effect makes this too harsh. jh Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Thanks for visiting Jack...what can I say? I wanted the series to be predominantly white, black, and blue, and thats how I got it. Dave Link to comment

j.k._york 0 Posted March 12, 2007 a fresh shot from the land of the dead. did you have this in mind, or did it just happen? great polarized gradient in sky. the heavy tree is good counterbalance to oblisk. very well done Dave. i don't even try graveyards because i figure they have been played out. so you have taught me not to overlook the obvious. ps. did you push the film for asthetic reasons or out of nessesity (using the CP?) take care, J.K. dave holmes 0 Posted March 13, 2007 Thanks Catalin, Ivana, Antanas, JK... JK - This was my second trip to this site so I had some time to think the shot out beforehand. I wanted wide angle, the bluest blue I could get with bright whites and dark blacks, hence the filter and push proc. that column is only about 2 feet away so I had to use f22 but I think I could have gotten away without pushing. still I wanted all the blue I could get. the shot came out just the way I envisioned! Thanks again! Link to comment
jessica_smith9 0 Posted May 15, 2007 I love the contrast in texture, color and light. The dramatic polarization works well here. Link to comment
