N interesting shot in the functional style of visual regime. A study in the function of lines in an image which has turned the monotony of what we see every day into something making us look twice. The clash between absolutely vertical lines and the diagonal profile of the edge of the dressing table, the parallel diagonals of the edge of the mirror is starkly fantastic.

The tonality is invitingly pleasant to our eyes making us feel at home with the atmosphere. The texture of the surfaces is in great variety, each helping us fully grasp the material characteristics of the object- the metallic reflection of the cigarette lighter and the rich patina of on the surface of the table. The reflection in the framed portion of the mirror has created a dynamism that is the

only non-contributing element within the frame that has produced a visual variety

among the robust exhibition of straightness.

What is a sort of downside with this wonderful still-life shot is the focus job on the perfume bottle which is lost in blur for good, sort of drawing us out of the mood.

The rest are all upsides that eventually makes Bryon the winner at the end of the day .

I like it very much :o) I'm only a beginner, so I can't explain very well, but it has a very nice 'balance' of tones (???) - from black-black to white-white and none are overbearing. Lovely :o)
