Great portrait!

Wonderful portrait of a wonderful subject. Very good job. The texture of her face against her clothing is terrific. I am drawn a little too much to her forehead. If you could tone that back a little and bring me more to her eyes, I think it would be superb. Her forehead will still speak for itself if brought down a bit.

A fine portrait full of intensity. The subjects eyes are remarkably bright and contrast with the age worn face (not that I think it would detract from the image if you did but did you photoshop these?). The high contrast, though not flattering in the usual sense, adds power to the expression. I also like the slightly foreword pose and the cropping that also add power.
