The colors on photo.net are not as bright as see them in photoshop

or other photo editors, when I upload a photo. Any remedies?

Nice image with good color. A tough bird to photograph I'm sure. The eye is tack sharp, and that's critical in an image like this, good job. Perhaps loosing a little detail in the white plumage with they high dynamic range. Compositionally I would crop the right third of the image that contains no subject information and this would remove a bit of the distraction in the background. Over all a very nice image of an unusual subject. 5/6.

Thanks Scott for your critique, I composed the shot using the 1/3rds rule instead of dead center. What's high dynamic range? Again thanks for your input.

High dynamic range is a fancy way of saying that there is a limited number of F-stops that can be captured in an image (around 7 for digital). When you have bright daylight you can exceed this range and either the whites get blown or the blacks loose detail (too black) or both. A polorizer or a ND filter can help, but only a little.

Honestly I think this shot is somewhat centered or close to it, as the eye is the focal point of the image. My croping comment is just a suggestion to eliminate dead space and distracting background. Give it a try, and if you don't like it, that's fine and if you do, then perhaps I've helped you a little bit.

Here's an example of what I'm suggesting. I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of illustrating it with your images. I also used the clone stamp to clean up a bit more of the background.

Thanks Scott for all your extra effort,it well appreciated. You are an expert with the clone stamp. I have trouble with it except for minor touch-ups, in backgrounds I have a hard time making it believable. I'll try your suggestion on cropping the image, I'm not sure if I like it better, but I'm not the one to please, the customer is. Again thanks alot!
